HOW SKIN PEEL WORKS?

HOW CHEMICAL PEEL WORKS?
All peels work by gently rubbing the skin with a non-toxic chemical solution to remove the unwanted top layer. The encourages collagen production and cell renewal, to reveal an age –defying healthier, younger –looking you.
Treatment is pain free, though some peels can lead to light swelling of the affected area or peeling of the skin for a few days after the procedure. HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PEELS IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Lactic Acid Peel- is one of the more gentle acids and is inherently hydrating. After application to the  skin, lactic acid forms lactate which is a component of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor that functions as a humectant. Leaving the skin fresher younger looking skin less blemishes and pigmentation.
Glycolic Peel –A refreshing anti –aging treatment with minimal downtime, this peel penetrates the top layer of your skin and encourages the natural exfoliation process: leaving you with fresher, younger looking skin.
Mandelic Peel-Perfect for those prone to redness due to its antibacterial properties: this peel encourages cell –turnover, helping to reveal a clear complexion. You’ll have smoother skin after just one treatment.
Pyruvic Peel –If you feel like your skin is aging, or you’re prone to outbreaks then this is the right peel for you. This Inner Peel works by exfoliating the skin as well as stimulating collagen and elastin production, making it appear tighter and clear.
Salicylic Peel –The Salicylic Peel is used to treat acne. The beta Hydroxy Acid that the peel contains reduces the oil production in your skin, reducing the number of spots. The other chemical properties of this peel will help to control bacteria and inflammation.
Jessner Peel-Using a combination of active ingredients including salicylic acid, and lactic acid, this peel works on a variety of imperfections including fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage, acne and uneven skin tone.
Hands, Face & Body Peel –T he HFB peel contains trichloracetic acid and lactic acid which when combined, produces long- lasting exfoliation. The peel also contains kojic acid which helps reduce pigmentation. This peel is suitable for use on almost any area of the body.
TCA Peel – A deeper peel than the others, this penetrates both the upper and lower layers of the dermis. Ideal for anyone with superficial discolouration, acne scarring or more noticeable signs of aging.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed to begin with then the chemical solution is carefully applied. The solution will be left on the skin for a few minutes and then removed.

DOES THE TREATMENT HURT?
You may experience a mild stinging or burning sensation when the product is applied. But don’t worry – this won‘t last for very long.

HOW LONG THE TREATMENT TAKES?
The whole treatment takes less than half an hour. You can then get straight to normal activities.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Your skin may look red or brown and, occasionally swollen after treatment, depending on the peel used. However, this is perfectly normal and only last for a couple of days.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Four to six superficial peels are needed to treat mild acne scars and to reduce the signs of aging. Deeper scars and lines and wrinkles will need one or two medium peels.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE MY SKIN BEFORE I HAVE A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Occasionally we’ll ask you to follow a very simple home care programme before you come in for your peel. This will consist of a number of products that you’ll need to apply for one or two weeks before your first treatment.
