USING BOTOX TO HELP WITH EXCESSIVE SWEATING
Most experts believe that the primary hyperhidrosis is caused by problems with the sympathetic nervous system in that the brain mistakenly sends messages to stimulate the sweat glands (although there is no need to cool the body),hyperhidrosis can be induced by stress, heat, hormones or because a family has a genetic disposition to it.
HOW DOES BOTOX TREAT HYPERHIDROSIS?
Botox® can be used to disable the eccrine and apocrine glands and prevent them from producing and secreting sweat from the body. Small doses of Botox® are injected in a grid – pattern to the affected area which blocks the action of the nerves that supply the sweat glands, which can prevent the glands from producing sweat.
