Dermaroller is an effective, non-invasive, natural skin regeneration treatment to help improve acne scars, stretch marks and stimulate skin rejuvenation.

Dermaroller provides advanced micro-medical skin –needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely. As Dermaroller is rolled over your skin, it creates pin point punctures into the dermis. This is perceived by the body as damage, which stimulates the release of growth factor that trigger the production of collagen and elastin, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.

PROCEDURE

PRIOR THE TREATMENT: a topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the skin making the procedure comfortable; it will normally take up to 30 minutes for the topical anaesthetic to work.

TREATMENT: Your Doctor or Nurse will use a Dermaroller medical device to produce thousands of micro – medical needle –columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly –often in the same day. The procedure takes about 20 -30 minutes.

POST TREATMENT: Immediately after your Dermaroller treatment, you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.
Your doctor or Nurse may apply post treatment product after the procedure to help soothe and calm the skin, you may continue to use it until the redness has cleared.

WHAT IS THE AFTER CARE?
Use tepid water to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours and dry gently, always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area. It is recommended that make up is not applied for 12 hours after the procedure.
In the days following the treatment, as the skin started to regenerate and repair, it may well feel dryer than normal.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
After the Dermaroller procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are visible and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
As topical anaesthetic will be applied pre-treatment and the procedure is relatively comfortable. Our doctors and nurses are highly experienced in the procedure and will ensure to make your experience as relaxing as possible.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Our Dermaroller specialist doctor or nurse will examine your skin and advice you personally how many treatments you may need .General guide bellow are commonly recommended.
Dermaroller for skin rejuvenation: a series of three Dermaroller treatments session with approximately 6 weeks between them is recommended.
Dermaroller for scar and stretch marks treatment: a series of 5 – 6 Dermaroller treatment sessions with approximately 6 weeks between them is recommended.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?
Of course, the speed at which you will get results depends on what you are treating and how extensively your body needs to remodel the affected area. This process of skin remodelling can go on for months after each Dermaroller treatment, but noticeable results can be seen within a week! Your skin naturally renews itself every 40 days, so with a little stimulation changes can be dramatic and fast.
