BREAST LIFT

WHAT IS A BREAST UPLIFT?

Breast uplift, breast lift or Mastopexy is very common in woman whose breasts have dropped or lost shape due to childbirth, weight loss or part of the ageing process.

Often referred to as boob lift or boob uplift, breast uplift surgery is extremely effective and gives the breasts a more youthful and pert appearance. This procedure can often be performed at the same time as a breast enlargement (implant required) or a reduction to help achieve the desired shape.

Prior to your procedure you will have an in-depth pre-operation assessment with the Pretty Woman Cosmetic Clinic® nurse to ensure you are fit and healthy prior to your breast uplift procedure.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and can take 2 hours with a one night stay in one of our highly equipped comfortable hospitals.

Your surgeon will make an incision around the areola (dark area around the nipple) and vertically down to the breast crease and horizontally along the breast crease, this can sometimes be referred to as the anchor due to its shape. Your surgeon will then remove the excess skin and reshape breast tissue they will also re-position your nipple lifting it higher.

To ensure you rest and recuperate we advise 7-10 days off work with 6 weeks for physical activities and exercise. You will also be required to wear a support bra and attend very import follow up appointments for your post op care at your Pretty Woman Cosmetic Clinic®.
